Joe Cloughley is a Web Developer & Visual Designer from Baltimore in the United States who works full-time for a company focused on web solutions for schools. Since February 2016, he has been traveling with Remote Year, a program that takes a group of remote working professionals and moves them around to 12 international cities over the course of one year. He came to Mokrin for a few days while staying in nearby Belgrade. Here is what he had to say about Mokrin House:
“Mokrin house is a wonderful retreat for the remote creative worker. After traveling for a few months and working primarily out of city-based coworking spaces, I was interested to see what it might be like to work out in the country and ‘away from it all’ in a space that combines coworking and co-living. Mokrin House has all the benefits of an intentional community but builds upon the concept by infusing social-good tenants, encouraging skill and idea sharing amongst an ever-changing group of diverse people, and provides the environment (and Wifi!) you need to find creative focus on your project. They do this all in a space that is modern, nature-focused, and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and just as engaged in the community as the guests are. My only regret is not staying longer!”
